All my life I am a makeup junkie. My eyes twinkle a lot whenever I see makeup on counters like I want to buy them all. It’s very rare that I give attention to skincare products. I even skip reading them on beauty blogs and I use to see it as a waste of money.
Late last year, when I started rediscovering my love for makeup I stumbled upon myself looking at the mirror with a terrible face. Yes makeup can conceal majority of the boo boos but I know deep inside how horrible my skin was.
I have to admit that I’ve been so neglectful all those days. I just wash my face after work and sleep. We all know that it is not enough and a lot of dirt still builds up everyday. I also know that it is a must to wear sunscreen every freaking time but I get too lazy to apply it.
And then I noticed a lot of blackheads and whiteheads, I breakout a lot and lines starts to become visible. My face looks dull and tired. I even blame the stress I get from working.
And so I came to realization that starting 2016, I will invest a lot on taking care of my skin because negligence is really a price to pay. I don’t want to wake up one day looking 5 years older than my age. I want to prevent all the early signs of aging and be more intricate with dealing to skin problems.
I started googling about what type of product suits best for my skin type. I became aware of the Korean Skincare Routine (which I will be discussing extensively on another post) and was pretty enticed with the idea. And here I am right now looking at a cabinet almost full of skincare products (both Western and Asian).
After almost six months I start to feel more confident about my skin condition. I also feel blooming and younger.
Please believe us beauty bloggers that skincare is as important as makeup. Before you will get the picture perfect look from makeup, it is a fact that you need to have a good and healthy base. So never ever skip skincare posts or please come to the same realization like what I’ve been to as early as you can. Time is something we can not get back and prevention is always better than cure.
Expect a lot of skincare product reviews ladies!
