One of my beauty goals right now is to own at least one of each liquid lipsticks being released and just stare at them on my vanity. Just kidding!
The instagram page of Dose of Colors is such an eye candy that is why I decided to buy the shades Brick and Stone. Stone is like a nude mauve that washed out my face that is why I sold it after trying it just once.
As per the website:
Our entire product line is Cruelty Free. We do NOT test on animals.
Our lip products, brushes and lashes are Vegan, Gluten Free and Paraben Free.
All ingredients are listed for every item sold on our website.
We are Leaping Bunny & PETA certified.
Our liquid lipstick is a velvety high-fashion matte finish which envelops lips in a rich color. Glides on smoothly and stays put throughout the day.
Brick is a deep red that has a little purple undertones. It is the kind of red suited for glam parties and special events. For me, I wear it in the office as well and I don’t care.
Formulation and Packaging:
The non-drying formula is super pigmented and has a slight sweet scent. The packaging is so elegant for me. It also comes with a medium-sized doe foot applicator.
First of all, I love that this product is Vegan, Cruelty Free, Gluten Free and Paraben Free. I would also like to commend the beautiful bold selections of shades you can get in this liquid lipstick line (I’ve been wanting Berry Me and Merlot too!).
The shade Brick looks good on all skin tones. I think it is the kind of red that adjusts on you and brightens your face instantly without trying.
For the staying power, it holds its color decently on your lips as long as you don’t eat. I noticed that it fades almost completely when you eat an oily food. It is also not completely smudge-proof.
Tip: When retouching, make sure to wipe off all the remaining product first before applying again. This will avoid the patchy effect on your lips.
Overall, I love the shade Brick and how it dries matte on my lips. I just wished the formula to be lighter and more intact.
