Colourpop Lippie Stix Review + Swatches

Oh I love Colourpop! If you are a lipstick junkie like me, it’s like a dream come true to have all the formulations and shades that Colourpop offers. I used to have seven shades from the Lippie Stix range but I gave away the other four because the shades didn’t suit my skin tone. Those are Frenchie, Lumiere, Brink and Grunge.

Now I will be showing you the remaining three shades I have in my collection- LBB, Poison and Taurus.

I know you are familiar with the unique packaging- a refreshing take from bullet designed lipsticks. The product is housed in a marker-like stick.

As per the website:
MATTE– Full coverage, superrr long wearing, ultra-comfortable and seriously loaded with pigment in a matte finish.

NET WEIGHT1.0 g / 0.0352 oz

All the shades I have are in matte finish.

LBB– Rich plum wine in a matte finish, this shade was created by one of our favorite muses, blogger: LittleBlackBoots

-very similar to MAC Rebel, perfect for party looks and night makeup

Poison– You’ll be knockin ‘em dead in this deep brown red in Matte finish

-the only red shade I feel comfortable wearing in the morning due to it’s brown undertones. It is also very flattering for morenas.

Taurus– A mid-tone yellow brown in a Matte finish

-I never knew I will like it, but now I love the shade. The brown of my dreams.

My thoughts?

There is a slight chemical scent that I don’t like. I hope they improve this to something more pleasant.

The lipstick glides smoothly on the lips, may tug a little if you didn’t put the lippie primer before the lippie stix.

Poison and Taurus does not need any retouching and will survive 8 hours without fading (even with meals in between). LBB, kinda fades into a pinker version after eating.

It can also be easily removed by micellar water or any makeup remover.

Overall, I love Colourpop Lippie Stix because of the wide shade selection and the unique stick packaging. It is pigmented and I think is priced correctly by it’s quality.

Price: Php350-380, online shops
