I always wanted to try Benefit’s Brow Waxing service because they are really committed in promoting their brow products and services. I always had second thoughts whenever I am inside a Benefit store because of two things: 1. I feel like it is too expensive. I can have the same thing done in other brow salons for half the price. 2. I have a friend who had a bad experience, but it is way back 2015.
Okay, so I finally decided to use it. I went to Benefit Trinoma after lunch and there were 2 other girls being serviced. I waited for about 10 minutes. While I was there, I checked out the products that I am planning to buy soon.
Compared to other brow salons, your brows will be waxed while you are in a sitting position. The concept is, the aesthetician will get a better look on the shape of your brows by facing her directly. Sadly, I wasn’t able to get a picture of myself while my brows are being waxed because I am alone. I don’t have someone to take the photo for me.
First step is she showed me the pattern and asked me if that was okay. She even complimented by brows for having a natural good shape. (Thanks dear!)
Then, she used a warm wax. Don’t fret, it is not really warm for me. And yes, the pulling off part is painful!
After that, she plucked the remaining strands that was nott captured by the wax. She also trimmed my long hair strands.
A cooling cream was applied after and was advised to not wet it.
To make my brows even better, she applied a bit of brow mascara.
After a few hours, I felt the brow area to be itchy. Is this normal? Or is it some sort of irritation? Anyway, I gave all my best to ignore and not scratch it. The next day, I applied Aloe Vera gel and eventually the itchy feeling fade away.
Overall, I love the result. The shape of my brows is more defined and I love that arc she gave me.
Worth it? Yes.
