DIY: Eye Patch for Puffy and Tired Eyes

Stressful days and sleepless nights are very common to us ladies with full time jobs (also full time moms) or even to students. And that reflects so much in how we look, especially in our eye area.

I also have a tendency to binge watch drama series that I cried and cried so hard before I fall asleep. This causes me to have a very swollen and ugly eyes the next day. Good thing, I found a solution for this and I will tell you how I prepare my easy DIY eye patches.

What you need?

1. A soothing gel (any brand, I prefer to use aloe vera gel from Nature republic- review here, but you can also use rose water gel if you prefer it.)

2. Makeup Cotton Pads – you can buy this at any Japanese stores. I bought mine for Php99 for 1000 pads.

3. Resealable plastic (optional)- just in case you want to store in for later use or you want to put it in the fridge for extra cooling effect.

How?

Just take two cotton pads and soak it real good to the soothing gel. Don’t dip in directly to the tub for sanitary purposes. Just scoop enough amount and soak it there.

Directly apply to your eyes and let it rest for 5-10 minutes. Like I mentioned earlier, you can put it in resealable plastic bags and place in your refrigerator for a few minutes if you want a cooler effect.

Voila! That’s it! After removing the cotton pads, you will notice a big difference in your swollen eye area. It also diminishes appearance of eye bags. I love doing this routine every morning to make me look alive and fresh.

  8. DIY stuff for the face is really intereating specially if you have the materials or ingredients needed at home. This is very interesting because i do have tired eyes as well as my husband too. This would be very helpful to soothe and relax our eyes even for a couple of minutes. I just use our aloe gel as mask. Thanks for sharing!
