One of the beauty products I scrimp on is highlighters. I mean, I rarely used them and if I do, I just put a hint of it.
It is indeed very tempting to buy high end highlighters like the very famous Champagne Pop from Becca. I saw that Wisp from Colourpop is a dupe and I immediately got myself one. Well, this one was actually bought last year, but I kept failing to write a proper review, hence the delayed post.
According to the website:
We took our famous Super Shock formula and added luminous pearls and glimmer to create the perfect crème powder highlighter.
Lemme wisp-er in your ear, tell you something that you might like to hear, wait till you see our golden champagne with gold pearls
This long-wearing crème powder cheek formula is the BFF of our famous Super Shock Shadows; it shares the same unique texture that is extremely buildable and blends smoothly to leave the cheeks looking healthy.
Shade – Golds
Net Weight -4.2g (0.15oz)
If you are not familiar with Colourpop Super Shock formula, it is very unique. It is in the middle of being a powder and a cream. It is bouncy and blendable.
I also have the blush (matte) version but this pearlized one is softer in my opinion.
Colourpop says to use synthetic brushes for application but because of the unique formula, I prefer to apply it using my hands. Just a gentle dab working its way to my cheekbones.
Gold champagne is life. For morenas like me, warmer highlighters gives the most natural glow. I like that I only need a really small amount. I also didn’t have a hard time with blending.
This product lasts for hours. Retouch may not be even necessary!
Overall, I am happy to say that I can live without getting Champagne Pop. I am glad that Wisp is a very good dupe. I recommend this shade for thos who have warm skin tone, it will look good on you!
